• Sports Fishing with Captain Jim Wormhoudt

Captain Jim Wormhoudt has been fishing the waters of Amelia Island and Fernandina Beach, Florida for over 30 years. His experience catching local Kingfish, Cobia, Grouper, Snapper, Shark, Drum and more makes him a legendary fishing authority in Northeast Florida.

With Captain Jim and his fast Everglades 24 we are developig a package that will take you Blue Ocean Sports fishing one day, fly fishing in the marshes and creeks of Nassau County the other day and just relaxed standing in the surf setting out a line on the third day.

Equipment Rental

IF you don’t want to spend most of your vacation days on the boat, but would like to throw out a line right here on the beach, Jim will have professional gear and bait available for rent, if you let us know before your arrival.

The rental includes a cooler on wheels with two frozen , re-freezable 2 litre bottles for fish and drink cooling , and a cup of shrimp , one rod and reel with terminal tackle , a sand spike and a booklet about Florida fishing with rules and regs.

This outfit rents for $45.00 for a 24 hour period , additional days for this set-up is $15.00 per day. Additional rod and reel combos are 15.00 per day each. Includes free delivery and pickup.

• Painting with famous Artist William Maurer

When we accepted the offer to run the day-to-day operations of the Amelia Oceanfront Bed and Breakfast, we knew we could count on many friends to chip in on the excitement. Famous painter and good friend (William (Bill) Maurer and his highly talented wife Kathleen (née Harding) selected 16 of their paintings and had them framed to lighten up our suites with colorful scenes from around Fernandina Beach.

It was not a big step to realize that there are many people interested in learning the techniques and brush strokes from the Master and voilå another interesting Vacation Package was born. Arrive on Sunday afternoon and get ready to paint with William Maurer for the next 4 days (Mornings or afternoons).
