Today we have Film, Book and Nature Festivals; we have International Blues and Jazz Festivals and even Sunsplash has brought reggae music to our shores; we have huge fishing tournaments, the world famous Concours d’Elegance annual classic car show and auction; we have famous golf and tennis events and the festival year doesn’t stop until the second weekend in November when the International Petanque America Tournament attracts teams from all over the world come down to Amelia to play the old French Ball Game.

Interesting is also that in a very competitive field of the top 10 Cities in the US, the spread between the 10 best is only 6.7 points, and Savannah, just 90 minutes to our north ranks number 7, directly behind New York, establishing itself as a good day trip destination for stay over guests.
